Re: Horde vulnerability
Well first i do not own a B3 so this make it a little harder to check the version ( not impossible just a little bit harder). Secondly project do bug fix release that distros can pick up quite fast. Even if Debian is extremely careful to take in new stuff does not mean that Excito could have chosen ...

Why did you not just remove the group "user" from xyz that would have been much simpler.

As long as you also change the uid and gid on all the files there should be no problem. This could be done with the find command.

Re: B3: How to set a firewall rule for port 445
Well if the only thing he wants to do is to connect to an services on the internet from an windows machine behind B3 he should not need to do any changes in the firewall at all. If he has problem it is most likely with the windows firewall on the windows machine or that his internet provider do bloc...

Re: How to set up TOR, and avoid DRD/FRA
With web request I guess you mean DNS request? There is some hidden configuration in firefox to make it do DNS request through the socks proxy but it is not on default. At least this is how I remember it to be.

Re: Release notes for Excito B3 software version 2.4
It's not the same package anymore; It's called "logitechmediaserver" now; and it has all it's dependencies bundled. Did you doublecheck that? It doesn't go removing 104 packages if there are dependencies on them, and I know for a fact that LogitechMediaServer does not function without at ...

Re: Bubba2 manual reinstall?
I don't think you can do what you want. I've never heard of it being done this way. For example, an OS installer has to gather information about your hardware that it wouldn't be able to do if you're installing it on a different machine. Well I actually think it could be done for the Bubba2. If i r...

Re: B3: How to set a firewall rule for port 445
Just a dump question why do you not use the web admin interface to add a port forward rule for port 445 in the firewall? This is taken from the B3 documentation The Port forward tells your router in B3 which computer on the LAN to send the data to. When you have set up the port forwarding rules, you...

Re: Lost webinterface access
An likely reason for apt-get to not find the repositories is because B1 uses an old and not supported version of Debian. This means that they have moved the repositories so you need to edit your source list and use http://archive.debian.org/debian/ instead of ftp.se.debian.org. As always make a back...

Yes the album is all virtual users that only exists for the album and has nothing to do with the normal users.

Re: External disk format supported.
ntfs should work well on B2 at least it should not unmount the disk. My guessing is that there is some other problem and that reformat would not help a bit. If it is an USB disk which is powered directly from the USB it is most likely not following the USB spec and uses more power that what USB i sp...

Re: How can I delete directories?
Does not the default ACL properties have the same problem as the sticky properties? If you copy files from other places they will not use the default ACL. So the only way to be certain to always be able to access files is to have a cron job run periodically that sets the permission to what you want....

Re: how to restore a folder via duplicity
@oliver did you use none standard English tokens in your password? If so you might have problems with different encoding. The problem can of course also be that you just don't remember the correct password you used.
