Re: "Disk full" - but it's not

After a conversation with Jonas, the software he tested seemed to solve his problem.
We are doing our best to test it fully and release it as a normal upgrade as soon as possible.

Re: "Disk full" - but it's not

Hi, The fix is currently in our testing repositories, and I prefer not to publicly post this as it is testing . We can not officially support the software that is under testing, and the fix is just a part of the entire upgrade that is coming so it is a bit tricky how to do this. But I will send a PM...

Re: "Disk full" - but it's not

We have a fix that we would like to try and I have sent a PM to Hammer requesting him to try it.

This fix is a part of a major upgrade that we are working on which is targeted to be released by the end of the month.

Re: [Bugg Report] Backup on "Desktop:2"

I think that I answered this on a supportmail a while ago, but thought that someone else might see the same thing. What is happening is that the system is looking for a label on the disk to present in the dropdown list. If there is no label on the disk, it defaluts to the modelname reported by the d...

Re: [Bug Report]Backup/Restore Web Interface

Hi, A question here, we are considering adding a "sync" option, where the selected files would be rsynced on a remote target. In this case, the history of the files would be lost, but if we decide to go that way, would that be enough of backup for you? Just curious on how you guys use back...

Re: [Bug Report]Backup/Restore Web Interface

Hi Darren, I have to give you a lot of credit, not many users actually even bothers use a backup, and very few would even try to find out what is going wrong if it did not work. So we definitely appreciate both your work, and very much that you do tell us in a sensible way so that we can add it to o...

Re: [Bug Report]Backup/Restore Web Interface

Hi, regarding my name it is initials so it is "PA".

We are debating whether to expose our bugtracker or not, but at the moment we have decided to have it internal only.

Re: Difficultyin setting up

Then maybe I misunderstood you earlier.
I thought that you had set a static IP in Bubbas UI?

Re: Difficultyin setting up

Hi, Your router is most likely acting as both dns and dhcp server. So if you can, specify a "static" dhcp lease for bubba so that it will always get the same IP from your router. Or, leave bubba with a static IP and add an entry to your hosts file: 192.168.0.x bubba where "bubba"...

Re: Write errors when backup to FTP target

I have been looking at newer versions of duplicity and there are numerous fixes to ftp sessions. However if I remember correctly the calls to duplicity have also changed somewhat making impact also on backup.pl so there is quite a lot to do to make it work with our userinterface. But it is on our to...

Re: Difficultyin setting up

The reason is that since you are using a fix IP for bubba, Bubba does not request an IP and in that request tell the dhcp server its name. Usually the dhcp server and is linked to the dns server so that names presented on the network will be available in the dns, but since this never takes place, yo...

Re: Write errors when backup to FTP target

Hi, I thought you left it with adding the timeout, but I am glad you got to the root of the problem. You are right about being duplicity that issues the command, but we will look into this and see if it is either already fixed in newer versions of duplicity or else we need to push this "upstrea...

Re: Write errors when backup to FTP target

Sorry for not responding, but this is not something that is easily solved, and we do have lot of other things to do aswell. As far as this matter goes, I am working on a setup that will display this error where I have access to the serverside as well since I do not know the reason for why the connec...
