B3: Samba connection SIGHUP...
Hi, My samba share to the shared video storage on B3 gets SIGHUP'ed from time to time and the video streaming closes. I am streaming to my HTPC and its MediaBrowser and haven't got any problems until recently. Here's the log from /var/log/samba/log.all: [2011/01/16 20:42:13, 1] smbd/process.c:756(sm...

Ouch...
I am using a sharp kitchen knife to put a slice around the top of the red wax area, and then I peel it off. But on the other hand - I can almost imagine how this procedure could harm your health, and the rest of the hand (or leg...)
Merry Christmas!

Re: Encrypted and unencrypted backups using rsync and rsyncr
I've also written a monthly script that purges old backups. As well as that, I backup my client PCs to my Bubba and then back them up online from the Bubba. I'll fill in the details of that tomorrow because this is a long post and now it's my bed time. I am in the same situation as you, backing up ...

Re: Tunneling rsync to another server on remote site??
I've already seen the proposed threads, but the issue that I haven't got any clarity in yet is the security/privacy part when rsync'ing between two servers located on two different sites. How can I be sure that the traffic when syncing is secure and not eavesdropping on? Should I use some kind of VP...

Re: Can't find ext3 filesystem on B2 hard drive
The problem is not that I could find the file system, the problem is that Bubba itself couldn't find its own file system! :? I am worried, as you can understand... My question is: How reliable is the Bubbas hard drive that failed, if I contine to use it for 24/7/365 operation? Can reformat it and us...

Can't find ext3 filesystem on B2 hard drive
Hi all, The other day the blue LED on my BubbaTwo was constantly blinking. I restarted it, same blinking and I also noticed Bubba was not accessible via web page. I attached the Bubba hard drive to a Ubuntu computer via SATA cable, and tried to mount the hard drive in Ubuntu. Checking dmesg|tail gav...

Re: BUG REPORT: Samba wount start with static IP and no prin
I have also the same behavior, with the same setup as mentioned by user wm.bubba - the Samba service won't start automatically after a reboot. I am running 2.0.4 since yesterday, hoping that it would be fixed. I am disappointed that this is still not fixed, not to mention it's a real pain in the nec...
