Hi Tor, Yes, if I either have completed Torrents which are just seeding or Torrents in the process of downloading and I try to add another torrent then ftd crashes. Everytime, without fail so no problem to reproduce if you need some traces. After restarting FTD I can for then first time only restart...

Ever since the last update, ftd will crash every time I try to start a new Torrent download whilst others are in progress. I need to log into Bubba each time and restart ftd to be able to continue. Anyone else noticed this ? I should also add that as part of the update I also upgraded to the latest ...

Actually your 'About' page seems slower then mine, even though they contain the same info. I did follow Tor's tuning tweaks for MySQL which might have made some improvements. Also currently I don't have any torrents running and switched off mt-daap and also Telnet and FTP. Saying that, I do get a go...

Wordpress is slower on my Bubba, especially the 'Edit and Admin' pages, but as only I use these I can survive. However opening up my Wordpress page to view takes only 3 seconds compaired to yours which takes around 10 seconds from where I am. http://www.cashaw.co.uk/wordpress/ I think this is more d...

Interesting..... Apparently Pinnacle were not able to license the DAAP protocol from Apple (even though Roku had), so apparently none of the Pinnacle products supported DAAP. Although this may have changed, either way it's no problem as Bubba supports the ROK protocol via the latest Mt-daap and Upnp...

I use Suse Linux and when I used the Konqueror explorer to access the smb share it is very slow (4-5MB/s) but since then I have mounted the Bubba share onto my machine and speed seems to be alot faster. I stream video off it via the mount with a number of torrents going on at the same time. Never ha...

Problem with backup to memorystick
Just tried to backup my Bubba settings to a USB memory stick (Pg 26 userguide) - S/W - #0.31.4-1
But as soon as I press 'Backup' I get a blank page with the following error -
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '=' in /usr/share/web-admin/maint.php on line 29
Ideas ?

How do you do this? I usually editing the sources.list file and then put the hashes back once I've installed the new software, is there a way to tell apt to use the non-excito sources from the command line? No, I do exactly the same as you and un-comment the Debian sources when I need to install so...

Re: Couple of questions while I wait for my bubba to deliver
My other question is about the bit torrent. My current setup is utorrent sitting on the win2003 server. It not only keeps an eye on a specific dir that I drop torrent files in but also does rss. From what I have read the bubba solution does neither of those. Would it be possible to install java, th...
