Hi tiddler, You could try following steps, solving a torrent downloader hang-up when some corrupt hidden files are resident in the 'torrents' directories of one or more users. Step1: Disable the Downloader service via the admin account Step2: Delete all 'torrents' directories of all users (or at lea...

Hi Martin, General torrent remark: Download speeds can vary from 0 to full bandwith. As such 10kB/s is not an odd value. Please note that your actual download speed is the sum of the upload speeds of all of your individual peers at that moment. Some peers reduce their max upload speed to 0 (or a ver...

Torrent downloading can be started by simply copying a torrent file into the torrent directory.

By the way, bubbamon works real fine for me. Thanks Johan...

Hi nitram,

Differences in download speeds of nzb and torrent are caused by the application mechanism.
- torrent is a data exchange between peers (other end-users like you).
- nzb is a download from a server of your usenet provider.

Dear Johannes, I can confirm that Peter's solution (using the $HOME instead of the /tmp directory) works for me as well; even with a sleep of 5 seconds!!! It appears that Linux deals with the /tmp directory in a different way than it does with other directories. Please take notice of that when tryin...

Hi Johannes,
The hard-disk was actually included in the B2 1TB package as I purchased it at the official local Bubba dealer.
Today my load count is 144640 (B2 in use for almost 5 months now).

Hi Johannes, The good news is: my load counter is quiet using the script. Unfortunately I had to go all the way back to a sleep of 1 second !!! Intermediate values of 4, 3 and even 2 seconds did not do the job, still causing a few load cycle increases per minute... :? Would it be possible that my dr...

The Philips SLA products are wireless only.
So testing in a wired network is not possible.

I have the same experience with my Philips SLA-5500.
The first part of the song (and sometimes the next song) is played over and over again.
Any suggestions for experiments?
