Hi Carl,

hope you have found time for the Etch release?

I am thinking about installing the rc2. Is it possible to update from rc2 to the final version without re-installing and configuring programs like munin or squirrelmail ?

If we doesn't find any really strange bugs in the near weeks, we will release is sharp. Hi Carl, I know, there seem to be a lot of issues with Bubba Two, but I just would like to know, when we can expect the official release of the Etch image for the Bubba Server, for which you still have a lot of ...

So instead of tracking down the error I installed Squirrelmail which I have been using before. Hi TN, I was also thinking of using Squirrelmail instead of Ilohamail because the project seems to be dead. Does Squirrelmail have the same functionalities than Ilohamail ? Did you have any problems insta...

Just a request from an existing BUBBA user (I have two). I note that BUBBA|TWO uses Lighthttpd instead of Apache (Hooray!!), and Horde instead of Ilohamail (which seems to have been a 'quiet' project for a while). Is there any chance that the planned Etch edition of BUBBA will use this new software...

This whole waiting for official etch support is getting quite annoying. You would think that getting the original bubba up to date would be as important as shipping your new product (with etch support) but no. I can only support you opinion. Actually I am waiting for the official Etch release since...

Hi all at the excito team,

are there any news or dates for the official etch release ?

I hope all the additonal features for the "super bubba" will also work for the old bubba, if not restricted by non existend hardware.

Cheers

Re: More on Etch install images

We have a bit of sad news. After a long struggle with an image that would repartition bubba, preserving user data, and do a fresh Debian Etch install. We have come to the conclusion that with the resorces we can put into it, we cant get it stable/efficient enough for common use. What we will try to...

Were there any changes made to the torrent engine (FTD)? After upgrading to latest version from Excito, FTD crashes/dies when adding more than one torrent. Or sometimes even at the first torrent. I've tried with various torrents to see if some of them were malformed, but the problem seems to be fai...

Regarding the permissions problem. Unfortunately it does not fix existing files that have wrong permissions :( If there is a need for a howto on fixing this. Let us know. /Tor For me it would be interesting to have a HowTo on the permission problem. But I am also thinking of setting up the bubba wi...

Re: New firmware update 0.52.1

Release notes for Bubba 0.52.1 * Download manager. Fixes for files that where left with wrong permissions. Great, I waited for the update eagerly. I tried to delete my canceled downloads, but it doesn´t work. Do I need to restart the bubba ? Or does the update only affect canceled downloads after ...

Hi Cheeseboy, I followed your steps and it works. Thanks a lot. But I can´t send any mail. It says that the mail server is not reachable. For your information, I am using as the smtp server the provider which did the registration of the domain. In the end the server would need to be reached via the...
