I tried this on my EEE-PC 900 with the default xandros OS installed, and there's no scrollbar in the download page. However, by using the up/down arrow keys, I'm able to scroll down to display the "Add" button. Could it be that the EEE-PC 900 issues automagically an "overflow: hidden...

Did you change any in the /etc/network/interfaces file?; we hange checked, and the default gateway is retained after reboot; and following is how an interface file shold look like when both LAN and WAN has static configuration (LAN is eth1 and WA...

Re: How to Make

Hi! Sorry for dummy question, but it seems for me that there is no Make command in Bubba2 - how I can get them. I would like to do some tweaks - but that requires compile. Sorry if I am wrong - just begginer in linux! Thanks in advance, Janeks to get make, issue following command as root: apt-get i...

In the file /etc/network/interfaces the default gateway address is retained, but there is no line: auto the0 If I got the idea from googling right then in /etc/network/interfaces there should be line auto eth0 than it should bring up the eth0 interface on bootup. The bringing up and down of all int...

[quote="Cheeseboy"]Hi Carl, I think the downsides of using old-style su are negligible in a small system like the bubba. You are not going to have the problem of many people having to know and share the root password. If you introduced a sudo system, it would mean that a default user other...

Hello squadra, I can see from your screenshot that you have set up an account called squadra, and that you can log in to the shell with that user. If you want to do stuff as root you need to use su without an argument as you first tried to. The default password is "excito". I suggest the ...

Thanks, Carl. I'll give it a try. However, I will have to pull the plug in order to shut it down... It does not repond when I hold down the power button for the five seconds. Also, the green disk LED (visible thru the vents) is blinking as if doing disk access. Front LED is lit in yellow. Responds ...

Re: Bubba not responding...!

Actions: Added nfs-common and mounted my NAS disk in bubba the other day. I also installed kplaylist and mySQL. Everything was working quite ok (a bit slow, though, but hey - it's a Bubba). I also updated fstab - but did not restart server nor issued mount -a command. Status: Today Bubba is not res...

Default we have only activated the "main" section of the upstream debian, sun-java5-jdk is in the "non-free" branch, to add it, you must edit /etc/apt/sources and add "non-free" after "main".

And hopefully there will be one available in some weeks :) I'm working on it, though still it isn't ready for release. Tohugh if you are a daredevil, and can live w...

Re: DB Error: connect failed

Sorry to ask a question again after helping me accessing bubba2 but it seems my webmail is not running. Re: server unreachable

Well i guess i'm a n00b, since today i got the bubba 2 out of the box and thought to plug and play it. Then i had to connect it directly to my PC. That went fine, but under LAN settings i changhed the IP 192.168.10.1 into 192.168.1.10 because my linksys router only allows DMZ settings to an ip addr...

1: You should copy the whole folder across yes (easiest just to unzip onto the stick) :)
2: if you in 1 above just copied the files into the root, a risk is that it just formats the hard drive, and doesn't install any payload.

The strange things is that the mail looks fine if you open it in it's own window. That is, double clicking on a mail in the list. It's only the preview window that truncates the text.. The version we now have in our unstable (claire) repository seems not to truncate the text, though more tests migh...
