Re: Set up your Arch B3 as a WiFi Access Point / Server
if the b3 acts as a leaf server it still can work as a wifi router though. It surprising but the dhcp doesnt crash.

Re: Successful dist-upgrade to wheezy on a B3
Of course we did have the recent PHP exploit, but this was identified and fixed within days by the community itself. And although the exploit was not the PHP or perl software of the B3, it was still part of the 'bubba OS'... I think you should keep in mind that nearly all attacks are not very sophis...

Re: Set up your Arch B3 as a WiFi Access Point / Server
why let the B3 be a DHCP when the adsl router is quite capable of doing this (and it probably has a nicer management interface anyway)? In this scenario, when the conenction on your laptop fails, you need to validat *both* the B3 and the router. By connecting the laptop straight to the adsl router y...

Re: Is my B3 dead ?
Im not sure if this is relevant but:
The B3 adapter is special in a way that it produces a lot of Amps. Most regular PSU cannot do this and underpower the box, which then refuses to start.

Re: Unresponsive B3
I guess in a similar manner you can block anyone trying to access wp-login, but whitelist your own IP befor that line. Still, wouldnt it scale better to add the w00tw00t rule to failtoban with a grace of 0? This will also take care of removing stale entries (i.e. keep for 48 hours or so), and the da...

fail2ban has a wordpress module. Works wonders for my servers. In your case it may not be so effctive. Putting wp-login.php behind an apache login could work

Re: Excito B3 brand and remaining B3 stock purchased !
The vat you paid to rodeus is because of canadian law, not uk law. However, as you ordered this unit as a business, im very surprised to need to pay vat. When I deliver to canada i dont need to charge vat, so i expect it to be the same the other way around.

Re: Unresponsive B3
This sounds like an I/O problem, which indeed does not show up on the CPU usage and is quite annoying to debug. Considering this is wordpress you may just bu under dictionary attack . Can you shut down some processes to see if things approve?

Re: Easyfind: what is the road map for this service?
this should be fixible, currently the server has separate logic to handle JSON objects with two items (for updates) and 4 (for add/delete). Adding some code to make the code backwards compatible (basically just a check if the requested secret and dns are the same as the one instore, and not complain...

Re: Easyfind: what is the road map for this service?
yeah its really quite strange. The logic on the server end is rather straightforward so the whole observation doesnt make sense, except the logs clearly show it happened. Gordon, how difficult doe you think it will be to make the client also transfer the requested hostname on updates?
