Hello everyone,

We have started today the easyfind migration on Rodeus infrastructure. There should be no impact on the service but do not hesitate to contact me if you encounter any issues.

Hi Charles,

There appears to be a problem.

My IP address charged earlier today, and easyfind was updated as usual, but only ns1.mybubba.org was updated, ns2.mybubba.org still holds my previous IP address.

Should you need specific details, I'll gladly PM these to you.

Thanks.

Hi Charles,

I think Eastfind has been down for a few days, but I haven't been able to check this until today.

I'm getting no response from either ns1.mybubba.org or ns2.mybubba.org.

Thanks.

The servers were migrated. You should no longer reference 'mybubba' but use 'excito' like before.

OK. I see that Easyfind not working (for my B2).

Under Settings -> Identify -> Easyfind Options -> http://xxxx.myownb2.com
xxxx is Easyname name that I have.

What changed?

There have a very small downtime (~2 min) today because of a kernel update. Do you still have difficulties ? Easyfind on my own b2 works fine.

No, not working.
What is the correct domain name, after all the changes??
... settings change required to B2 ?

I can bring up the ns1.mybubba.org directory -- but it just shows test directory.

Wrong server. The mybubba.org domain was gracefully set up by user Ubi to (temporarily) provide much wanted services for the Excito platforms after they went bankrupt. Like the easyfind service. With the full transfer of the excito brand to its current owners, these services have been moved back to their original locations on domains excito.com and excito.org. The mybubba.org domain no longer contains any valid server.

I don't have a full reference what everything should point to, but a good start would be to change all references that your system may have to mybubba.org into excito.org. I do know for a fact that this will enable easyfind, as I target ef.excito.org and easyfind.excito.org in my Gentoo port of the bubba web admin.

Gordon -
Know that part.

Firmware upgrade for B2 appears to still "hard-code": http://xxxx.myownb2.com
for Easy Find usage. More than happy to change config in Debian,
as long as target server will be around -- more than a few months.

Well. the EasyFind service appears to be working today (Sunday, 15:15 UTC),
but stops at my network Firewall (not B2) -- so I will have to "re-edit" those settings to have it access the B2 on that LAN.

The myownb2 and myownb3 domains have been valid all this time. The only thing that changed for these two domains were their primary name servers, which should not concern you or other users because you would normally not address these servers directly (the information they provide is being cached by your ISP's name server).

EasyFind is again working.
At my firewall/router, tbe TCP port 80 (http) was open to the B2,
BUT I also had to open TCP port 8080. Not unusual for other similar systems.
