Seeing the number of questions on firewalling and VPN I've been thinking that it might be a good idea to have some more advanced firewall configuration available. It wouldn't have to be available through the web interface though; it would probably pose to be too difficult to implement the possibility of added interfaces. In fact the current web interface could probably be adopted easily since it only deals with (dis)allowing ports on the INPUT filter table. All that would have to change is the name of the table it refers to, from INPUT to what will probably be named 'net2fw' in a default Shorewall setup.
