Plex Media Server

I guess the CPU of the B3 is not suitable for running Plex Media Server, but perhaps next model can. It would be nice if it could be a part of the standard applications bundled with it (togheter with a Bonjour client, such as Avahi).

Hi neuman,

Do you know if there will be a version for our current versions of Bubba B2 - B3 ??

Wow. This would be ideal. Not sure if there is an ARM suited build of https://www.plexapp.com/labs/ available yet?
They have builds for ReadyNas, Synology and others, but they might feature a more powerful CPU?
It would be great to be able to use this on the B3.

[UPDATE]
There is a thread in the Plex forums for requesting an ARM based build for the same CPU (http://www.7-cpu.com/cpu/Kirkwood.html) that the B3 got. Only for metadata and not for transcoding, but that's what you want anyway, right?

What is Plex Media Server and why is it useful?

Now they have released an ARM version (that do not support transcoding of course) for Synology.

They now list NAS appliances at http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/ and offer builds for ARB-based ReadyNAS (.bin) and Synology (.spk)

Has anyone experience of getting any of these to run on B3?
Is it possible to install using the .bin or .spk builds on B3, if so, how?
