if you know where to find the installer file, why not simply install it yourself? I doubt Excito would upgrade their stable tree with a beta version of squeezecenter. Actually I hope they do not!

I've installed squeezeboxserver 7.5.3 beta on my B2. It replaced squeezenter but there were dependency problems. I fixed it with sudo apt-get -f install. Unfortunately there are still problems as the server keeps dying every 20 seconds. I'll keep on trying. Spotify support is very interesting but unfortunately it seems to be only for premium users.

7.6 seems more interesting because of the optimizations for low spec units but it looks like it could could be quite unstable.

The official Spotify plugin is unfortunately only supporting the Squeezebox Radio and Touch models due to hardware (and licensing?) restrictions.

There is some hope though - there is an unofficial Spotify plugin developed by a guy called Triode. So far there has only been support for x86 platforms, but yesterday Spotify released the libspotify 0.0.7 with support for ARM. Hopefully Triode will update his plugin to support ARM, and that would enable us to use Spotify also on Squeezebox Duet together with the Bubba 3.

I've tested his plugin on a Squeezebox Server running on an Intel platform, and it works really well with my Duet. Spotify Premium is a requirement though.
