yes, I tried a few things yesterday (turning off http spam checks etc.), also checked server-side load but I'm clueless. Do you have any ideas? PM me if you want access to check.

just a check: did you disable the blackhole checks? The timing of the posts smells like a DNS timeout.

Yes, afaiu I have turned all spam checks off and it's still slow. on again now of course. I've given you access to the ACP if you want to have a look, I must have overlooked something.
