Hi

I have never heard about excito before i saw your pressrelease. What a wonderfull thing yuo've been cooking :-)

I recently bought a guruplug server plus for my next router project, i wanted something low wattage hi performance routing + nat + ipsec. Can't recommend the guruplug. it gets hot as h... and it's just a matter of time before it burns off. plus the uboot configuration that they shipped with the plug i really a mess getting to work with kernel placed on sdcard.

I also wanted to install a mythbackend for tv recordings, on the plug but the squeeze installation from debian arm, can't load firmwares with recompiling the kernel with some settings changed (and no docu on what to change)

So spending the day researching on your previus device BubbaTwo leaves with this :

pros :
Reinstalling from usb, a real plus, no serial tty necessary.
Debian, i like.
forum post of success stories with myth
802.11n in master mode, e.g. access point.
ssh
debian packages

Cons :
powerpc chip cababilities, whats the spec on b3 (330 ?)
routing performance, i got a 10/100 fiber.
ipsec performance, any hardware accell ?
ipsec not built into kernel by default. I use strongswan btw.

please comment, don't want to make another failure.

kurt, don't forget you always have the 30-day guarantee if you would not be satisfied. This is something we can offer since we generally have very satisfied customers.

Hi

Well, i would rather have a kernel with ipsec, than returning the unit.
