B2 genup users - please mask mariadb-10.1.24 pro tem

Hello,

if you are using my isshoni.org binhost to supply binary packages for your Bubba|2 box (running gentoo-on-b2), please issue the following:

Code: Select all

b2 ~ # echo "~dev-db/mariadb-10.1.24" >> /etc/portage/package.mask/mariadb
The specified release of mariadb is not building on ppc in the current form (and if you fail to retrieve it from the binhost during a genup run, it'll take quite a long local build, before it fails on your B2 also...).

Going forward, I hope to provide a custom profile and weekly-gated rsync mirror for the B2 (as is in place for my B3 and 64-bit RPi3 Gentoo images), which will avoid having to manually propagate these kinds of edits.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The previous (10.0.30) version of mariadb is still in the Gentoo tree so the above mask will create no issues currently. I'll keep an eye on it.

Best, sakaki
