What are the permissions of /usr/share/backuppc/site? It should be readable by all and if it is not you can rectify this with chmod.
Hello Xnij,

This is what I get:
server:/usr/share# ls -l
drwxrwxrwx 7 root root 4096 2008-11-07 00:31 backuppc
server:/usr/share# dir backuppc
bin cgi-bin doc image lib
server:/usr/share#
server:/usr/share# cd /usr/share/backuppc
server:/usr/share/backuppc# ls -l
total 20
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2008-11-07 00:31 bin
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2008-11-07 00:31 cgi-bin
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2007-02-06 18:47 doc
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2008-11-07 00:31 image
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 2008-11-07 00:31 lib

I tried :

chmod uog=rwx /usr/share/backuppc/ & chmod uog=rwx /usr/share/backuppc

and got:
drwxrwxrwx 7 root root 4096 2008-11-07 00:31 backuppc

But no succes, any idea's maybe my command line was wrong?

Thanks,
Rewien

Have you added the extra config lines to the apache conf as stated in the installation guide of backuppc? I had a quick look and it seems you need add a few lines to /etc/apache2/sites-available/bubba.

Backuppc looks really cool so I might give it a go myself :)

So how is everyone doing with backuppc now? Any progress?

I installed it and have successfully made a backup of my main linux laptop but seem to have a problem with it backing up the localhost. WAN access is working also.

I still need: localhost backup, and Win machines config + backup.

BTW, here are a couple other howto links.
