Portforward misstake.. on my BubbaTwo

Post by soovizzy »

I was trying to get the XBOX360 Live to work and in the instructions from Microsoft you should star with a port forward of port 80.......

I pressed update and realized what an jackass I was....everuthing stoped.
The web traffic to internet stoped, the internal web server stoped..

I cleared out the entries in the /etc/network/network.conf file for the added entry..

Then the internal webserver started to work again...but no other traffic
to Internet.

Is there any other file that I have to clean?
Do anyone have a clean Network.conf file that I can upload on the bubba
server again?

Thanks..

Had to setup my old Netgear again,,,,

There is always an default config file located at /usr/lib/web-admin/firewall.conf (will be moved in the future to usr/share/bubba-config/network.conf), just copy that file to /etc/network/firewall.conf and issue iptables-restore /etc/network/firewall.conf to reset the firewall.

Workaround for now

Workaround for now

Stayed with my Netgear added a local DMZ server IP of
10.10.0.11 which I put on the WAN side of the Bubba Two Server

Runs 10.10.0.10 on the LAN side of the BUbba server.

Everything is working from a usage perspective.

Routing/DNS trough the Bubba two server to Internet do not work
and that seems to be the problem

Hope we can find a solution togheter soon.

I have had problems with the updates, there is alwasy new updates available..

Sleep tight

You should make sure that the LAN and WAN isn't on the same network if you are using the routing function. i.e. if the WAN is on the network 10.10.0.0/16 (for example), then you would need to place LAN on an other network, say 192.168.10.0/24 or 10.11.0.0/16 etc...

Placing it on the internal network was just to get the horde and mail server functioning until we have solved the internal bubba issue
For now using a netgear firewall in front to be able to use internet and
have made portforwards to the bubba server...

Current Situation

Post by soovizzy »

Scenario Workaround:

Netgera Router
External address 82.x.x.x
Internal Adress 10.10.0.x

Bubba2
WAN adress 10.10.0.11
LAN adress 10.10.100.1

Den the traffic routes trough the bubba and everything works

Scenario wanted
Bubba2
WAN adress 82.x.x.x
LAN adress 10.10.0.1

No traffic goes trough the bubba2 server..
Reachable fron the inside and the outside.

I have tried to change the internal IP adress to almost everything..no chnage, but if I change the external IP so something else than my owned IP adress 82.x.x.x. then it works

In what file can there be some corruptions that just stays for the 82.x.x.x. network
