New release of BubbaMon, the Firefox add-on

Post by 6feet5 »

Hi all,

I've released a new version of my Firefox add-on, for the new 3.5 release.

All you who choose to not update your Firefox need not update the add-on as this version contains no new features. Work is in progress, but I'm not ready to release anything yet so this is only a version bump to support the new FF3.5.

The download is available at my homepage

Let me know of any problems.

BR

Hi Johan,
I've recently noticed that the uptime displayed in the FF plugin is 9 hours behind the uptime displayed in the webadmin interface. I've upgraded to v .0.8, but the problem still persists. It's obviously not serious, just a bit strange...

Cheers, Ian.

PS. keep up the good work ;-)

Hi Ian,

I tested it on my B2 but couldn't see the bug, so I changed to my B1 and sure enough, something is wrong with the uptime. On my unit it is the minutes that isn't working. The bug seem to appear only when the minute field is less than 10.

Could you verify it really is the hour field that is incorrect (is this a B1 by the way)?

Hi again,

You were probably right about the hour field.

It turns out it is the numbers '08' and '09' that are the problem. The parser expect the numbers to be octal when they have a leading 0, not decimal, and both 8 and 9 aren't valid octal numbers so it replaces it with 0.

Anyway, the bug will for sure appear on all fields, not just minutes or hours. Expect a fix soon.

I should have made it clear that I have a B1; sorry about that.

You're probably right about the problem being present in all fields; it's just easier to spot in the hour field. I will install the new version when I get home.

Thanks in advance for the fix...

Hello 6feet5,

before i have updated my firefox to 3.5 the add-in was running very good.
A perfect and short overview over the hdd temp, free storage and the
torrents.

Now with the 0.8.1 version is also running well. Very good job.
