webserver down after update certificate?

Post by squadra »

The webserver gives the folowing error after restart:

Forcing reload of web server (apache2)...Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/apache2/conf.d/my_cert.pem:
Invalid command '-----BEGIN', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration
failed!

It seems i'm not able to get it running again? The admin and sites are not accessible anymore. What can i do? Thanks for helping me :-)

It seems that an rouge my_cert.pem has found itself in the apache conf.d directory. As apache will read all files found in that directory, it's imperative that only valid apache configuration files is located therein.
