WAN / LAN port issue

Hello All,
First of all my two B2 work like a dream...
My situation is this:
I have my B2 connected with both ports LAN and WAN to the router. LAN: DHCP assigned IP, WAN fixed IP adres. The use purpose is that all external and internet access must use the WAN port so i have maximum troughput on the LAN port for HD video playback. what i see is that the downloader still uses the LAN port to receive the downloads even stranger i dont see any data comming out of the WAN port (vnstat).
How can i change this?
Addition: in the router all forwarded ports are assigned to the WAN.
