Netatalk access issues

Hi everybody,

Hopefully someone can help me here with a netatalk problem. I normally connect with my MacBook (OSX 10.6.8 ) via netatalk/AFP to my bubba (B2). With my own user account (on both Mac and bubba) I never experience any problems. However, my wife's account seems to have a few issues:

In a shared folder with a special user group as owner, she cannot create folders or create files in any of the subfolders that were created by other users of that group. Now, if I stop the netatalk server and connect via samba to that same share, she can do whatever I would expect.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? How could I see what is going on (some (extra) logging from the netatalk server)?

I have some more information: when opening the folder via my Windows machine (thus using samba) I can rename a folder once, but not a second time.

I'm at a loss ...
