List of installed packages

Post by crabs »

Hello

(I apologize for my English, I am french)

New user on a B3 (2 weeks), I make some tests with my B3. I write some "How-to" on my web site (French) that relate this tests.

I loose the original list of packages installed on a B3. Without its, I not sure of all 'apt-get' I do on my B3, so some incoming articles are not complete. My B3 is now operational and I can't reinstall-it.

To obtain the list, I do :
  • unpack the B3 out of the box, connect on my private network and power on
  • create a user account on the B3 with ssh access
  • use ssh to connect with the new account on the B3
  • grant to root privileges with 'su -'
  • ran 'dpkg --get-selections'
Can somebody send me the result of the 'dpkg' command in the same conditions ?

Thank for the audience,
Best regards.

Hi

The dpkg selection is stored in file /var/lib/dpkg/status. The simplest is to extract it from the install image and read it. A small awk script should be able to filter the package list ;-). I joined the status file to this post.
