setting up the nfs link in client linux computer... [SOLVED]

Post by zander »

hi,

i am following the tutorial here...
http://wiki.excito.org/wiki/index.php/N ... _vs_Ubuntu

all the stuff it says to do i am fine with. but i have forgot how to set up the link in my home directory on the client linux machine.

it used to be a symbolic link ln -s bubba/home/storage /home/username/bubba_storage/

will this work?

and if not what should i use to create the mount point ?

thank you.

No, you need to use the mount command, and be root to do so. Theres some documentation here (scroll to about halfway the page)

http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/ubuntu-li ... share.html

But theres a lot of other docs too.
