Hi,
small question, i bought a b3 with a very dirty batterie, but i only saw it after some weeks.
Because i cut the power from b3, and every time the time and date is set back to 1945.
So i replace the batterie with new one.
But same problem.
Everytime device is powerless, time went away
Any idea what i can do?
Or whats wrong?
Big thanks
Bye

Time and Date not set correct..1945
Re: Time and Date not set correct..1945
First thought is that time set back to the year 1945 would be very weird in computing. However a quick search on the internet reveals that other users reported similar dates being shown on Kirkwood devices.
Question: does the device go back to the exact same date/time every time, or does it progress? In the latter case the solution would simply be to run the hwclock command and write the actual current time to the hardware clock.

Hi gordon,
thanks for replay...
i thought the hwclock with batterie keep the time/date a hole time like cmos inside a pc.
Will will have a look on it..

Does your device have this problem if you cut the power?
