Depends on how old your B3 is. If the front of your B3 looks like this it should be okay:
If it looks like this you most likely need to flash the onboard u-boot.
To know for sure start it up with the bubbagen Live USB (it will boot with or without disk) and run the following command:
If it returns version 2010.06 (Jun 10 2011 - 09:06:51) you're good.
If it returns version 2010.06-rc2-00064-gf41e8d8-dirty (Sep 08 2010 - 13:06:20) the unit can only boot from disks up to 2TB.
If it looks like this you most likely need to flash the onboard u-boot.
