Jabber service out of the box

Post by neuman »

I would like to see a Jabber service out of the box. I guess installing Openfire (http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/openfire/) is do’able but since I’m no Linux expert it would be nice if you guys could take care of it and bundling with the other services.

I would suggest Prosody over Openfire - Comes with a lot less dependencies, has just as many features and is quite a bit better for people who wants a simple Jabber Server that just works. Otherwise I completely support this idea. :)
