B3 web interface broken in Opera 11.6

Post by Ubi »

When the B3 web interface is opened in Opera, the right scroll bar flickers on and off. After some clicking it sometimes stabilises, but then it over-estimates the viewport size and keeps a right-side scrollbar that scrolls the view into nowhere. It seems the frame that tries to locate itself to the bottom of the screen does not work properly and borks the browser.

Hmm, I just tested in Opera 11.61 and it seems to work fine here, can you post a screenshot of what page that doesn't work?

sure, although I cannot show the flickering :)

hope this helps. The over-extended scrollbar is of course a minor issue, but the flickering is rather annoying.

clipped here too, strange. Anyways, I can confirm that the scroll bar is there (which it shouldn't) but nothing is flickering here. What system are you on? I have noted differences in browser behaviour between platforms (win, linux, mac) so this may differ.

ah yes, it may be specific for WinXP, as it seems to work correct in Win7. Good point

ok, thanks. I'll add a bug with the scrollbar , but on low prio then since it's only XP + Opera which should be quite unusual. Thanks for reporting!

Sounds reasonable, although the scrollbar over-extension is not limited to XP.

wait wait!
I managed to repro it in WIn7 too! When you go to the web interface and click on login, the pop-up password box appears and the right side bars starts blinking at about 1Hz.

I'm sorry but did you just suggest I step away from my beloved Opera, the browser that invented tabs, mouse gestures and speed-dial, which I used for over 10 years including a paid subscription for 4?

haha :D
I wouldn't dare!
I love Opera, used it for many years, but so many sites didn't work.
So now I work with Chrome, Firefox and IE
depending on the site I need to visit.
And I thought everyone was starting to build more compliant sites and browsers...
:?
cheers
