forum guidelines

Post by johannes »

Welcome!

Before you start posting, please read this tiny guide:
  • Please stick to the topic as far as possible. If the topic starts do drift, start a new thread
  • Do not ever post links to phishing sites, spam or other non-related stuff (you will get banned)
  • The forum language is English, so that as many as possible can follow. Note that our support staff is multi-lingual (support@excito.com), if this is an issue we can help
  • Do not insult people, or argue openly. Instead, lean back and take a deep breath. Then, if still aggravated, breathe some more and try to envision the warm feeling of a loving community, while writing friendly post explaining what you really wanted to say
All forum moderators are free to act firmly to any posts not following the above.

With sincere bubbalove,
/Johannes

[Edit: Spelling, thanks RandomUsername]
[Edit2: Adding language directions, thanks DanielM, and modified tone]

Just want to correct a minor error - "aggregated" should be "aggravated".

So if it's an issue for me that the staff is multilingual, what do you do to help?

(Sorry Johannes. Couldn't resist.)

Btw, when I looked in this forum I couldn't find this post at first. After a while I found out that the posts in the forum are waaaay down because of the huge section of announcements over it. Is there any better way to do that?

I had that problem too. I suppose the easiest way is to either sticky this thread too or in sticky some of the old release notices.

I've started making some of the oldest posts 'normal'. There's a lot of posts to edit though. It is possible to make a post lose its status after a predefined numer of days. I suggest we set this to 150 days?
Now if all the moderators edit one post per day we'll get rid of this becklog in no time.

Or we an split the forum and have a separate one for sw releases, and leave the announcements for announcements? If you think that's a good idea I'll fix it soon.
