I would like the backup function to just copy the files instead of compressing them and so on.
Just a plain/direct copy would be nice

This is good news at the moment i work with cron jobs with bash scripts.
Will it be over secure ssh to remote server? please?
Options:
- basic copy
- complete tar file (easy to delete/handle when obsolete)

Yes, something in that direction, it's a much simpler backup (sync) based on rsync over ssh. Testing now, sorry that it's delayed but it's on it's way.
