I don't want to open up the admin panel to the internet, but I do want to be able to login with ssh and add downloads.New user's registration have been closed due to high spamming and low trafic on this forum. Please contact forum admins directly if you need an account. Thanks !

No, ftd is bubba's torrent downloader behind the web interface 
In the mean time I hacked together a cli interface myself, if anyone's interested, let me know.

Is ftd homegrown excito software? I couldn't really find anything about it on the net...

Ftd is developed internally by Excito, thus the sparse info on the Internet. We do however gladly answer questions about it.
