failure to reconnect to bubba through Windows Explorer

I have a clean Debian-Etch installation. The problem I encounter is that after I have switched off my router for a while and start up my PC I cannot connect to my Bubba anymore through Windows Explorer. If the router remains running the problem does not occur.

I have to login with SSH and to stop and start the Samba server to repair this. When I stop the Samba server I get the message:
Stopping Samba daemons: nmbdstart-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 5840: No such process smbd.

In the Samba logfiles I notice a problem in log.nmdb:
*****
[2008/12/31 00:09:17, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:reload_interfaces(231)
reload_interfaces: No subnets to listen to. Shutting down...
[2008/12/31 08:00:57, 0] nmbd/nmbd.c:main(699)
Somehow a part of Samba shuts down after a while if the router is off.
This did not happen when I was running Debian-Sarge. I am scanning the Samba documentation to solve this but does somebody mayby have a hint?
