There are numerous ways to enable encryption of a file system, though the biggest problem would be where to store the key.

A list of possible ways can be found at http://www.debianadmin.com/filesystem-e ... linux.html, though we haven't made any tries with any of them.

Nooo! Apache hasn't worked out for me on the Bubba 1, haven't been able to do any web site design at all. This means I will have to reconsider my pre-order and perhaps go for a QNAP TS-509. *sigh* We are going to do everything to make lighttpd work, though in the short term, to allow file upload vi...

Re: Carl - MySQL

The MySQL commercial license is only required if you want to use MySQL is a product and you cant/wont follow the GPL or any appropriate FOSS licenses. As this is not the case for us (We are trying to follow the GPL to both the letter and the spirit), a commercial license isn't required, nor is it w...

The problem is probably that ftd was compiled against an older version of libc6. You could try to downgrade libc6 (shipped version is 2.3.2.ds1-22sarge4).

Re: Carl - MySQL

A reason we have for using MySQL is the use-case of a non-über-techie developing an own web-page on the bubba. Probably the most known SQL-server for that person is MySQL. Interesting commercial choice (not a criticism). I note that you are going to use Lighthttpd in BUBBA|TWO. So do we infer that...

Will there be an official update to etch for original bubba owners? I know you guys are probably busy with the new bubba|two and all, but it would be nice if we could upgrade any time soon with all the features of the sarge release. What can you tell us? The excito.com site says 'Etch planned, now ...

This whole waiting for official etch support is getting quite annoying. You would think that getting the original bubba up to date would be as important as shipping your new product (with etch support) but no. I can only support you opinion. Actually I am waiting for the official Etch release since...

Re: Bubba|Two and SqeezeCenter

I've had a look through the forum, and can't find this in another topic. It looks like Excito are planning to support Squeezeboxes on the Bubba|Two - and this is the only thing stopping me buying one as a replacement for my PC/Ubuntu based media server. I know that I could install it myself - but t...

We have tested AMD Geode, and notices that they are pretty slow. Bubba|Two will initially deploy with an MPC8313.
