Great, I somehow missed that one. Thanks!

Re: Debian dist-upgrade on B2 & B3

I'm very interested in using Jessie, but I didn't see any announcement of an available image appear. Is your image available somewhere? Would love to use it for my second B3!

Thanks in advance!

no shelllogin for admin

Why can't you login as user and then 'su' to get root access? Should "just work".

Bubba site configuration

Somehow I managed to !@($*&# the Apache configuration for my B3 (the @bubba file in /etc/apache2/sites-available). Of course, I did not make a backup of it before editing... Could anybody please share their file with me, because a complete reinstall is not what I would like to do. Thanks a lo...

Re: ZoneMinder

If you can live with something simpler than Zoneminder, you can also install "motion". Works great for me, I can watch a live camera feed from my iPhone and video capture and storage can be based on motion detection or timed snapshots. Installing is as simple as "apt-get install motion" and then edi...

Cannot login after new installation

Hi, I decided to finally upgrade my B3 to the latest software version, using the install image 2.4.1.1 from the website. I edited the config file in order to keep my /home partition intact. The reboot went as expected, including reverting to a DHCP lease instead of the fixed IP that it used to have....

Re: /admin path hijacked for all hostnames

Thanks for your comments. I guess I'll make a feature request then and keep manually updating my configuration in the meantime... :(

/admin path hijacked for all hostnames

The config for B3 is such, that the /admin path always leads to the B3 administration page, regardless of which virtual hostname is being used to access the webserver. In the past I succeeded in changing the configuration to only point to <MAINHOSTNAME>/admin, in order to be able to use an alternati...

Re: B3 USB Camera

The "elvin" repository doesn't include all packages found in the upstream debian repositories, but only those we uses. Make sure you've enabled the upstream debian repositories as well (change-distribution elvin -u) Thanks, that did the trick! The packages are installed, webcam detected, I'm off to...

Re: B3 USB Camera

My B3 cannot install usbutils nor motion: for "usbutils" no installable package is available (apt-get claims that other packages do refer to it) and apt-get cannot find any package "motion" :( Have these packages been omitted from the "elvin" distro? I had motion running succesfully on my first gene...

Photo album: how are pictures sorted?

I'm very happy with my new B3, but I don't understand how the photo album application orders the contents of an album. I'd like my photos to be shown in chronological order and since my camera uses a sequential naming scheme (as do most), either the filename or the embedded timestamp would give suff...

Re: Display the HDD temperature in the web portal [patch]

I investigated a little more, and the problem is that the whitespacing is not correct. TABs are converted into spaces in the original patch file (which makes it fail because it can't find the matching lines in the original file) and the leading whitespace is deleted alltogether in the Wiki-version o...

Re: Display the HDD temperature in the web portal [patch]

Hmm, my B3 complains about a malformed patch. I can't see anything strange myself, but I don't read patches too well. Note: I took the patch file from the Wiki: the version above gave me loads of other errors. Any ideas? root@homeserver:/usr/share/web-admin# patch --verbose -p0 < /home/patrick/priva...

Using port 587 (submission) for mail

I'm trying to get port 587 to work on Postfix, because my ISP blocks in and outgoing traffic on port 25. I've uncommented the "submission" entry in master.cf and uncommented the lines regarding smtps and port 587. I also entered the proper smarthost in the web interface. However, my Bubba still keep...
