Re: Arch Linux on B3
Thank you Cilyan. I read through your thorough Arch Linux guide. I have not yet tried to install Arch but maybe later. I had Arch in one of my desktops few years ago and loved how pure the installation was, without nothing useless like other Distro's have. Couple things come to mind, which might be ...

Re: New Mybubba.org servers
ok, so after 3 hours we have a grand total of 708 unique IP addresses that contact easyfind. Load on the machine is exactly 0.00 thanks to gordons magic with nginx. That was fast and efficient :) Just out of curiosity about how Easyfind works. Does the Easyfind still appear to work (Bubba can be re...

Poll for the owners of Bubba.
Same explanations as in Easyfind poll. Excito has filed for bankruptcy. This means that certain services will no longer be maintained by the manufacturer of Bubba server. There are talented and devoted members in the Bubba community. I believe they could keep Bubba services up and running and could ...

Re: Poll for the users of Easyfind
Everybody can participate. The percentages does not count but the number of users, who give the vote. The poll is meant to be a sort of user survey giving a rough estimate how many people use the Easyfind service. Hopefully number for Easyfind users grows big enough to courage for example Ubi to sac...

Easyfind poll.
As you might have heard, Excito has filed for bankruptcy. This means that certain services will no longer be maintained by the manufacturer of Bubba server. Easyfind is one of those services. There are skillful and dedicated members in this community, who might be able to restore and keep Easyfind s...

Re: Excito in bankruptcy
Sorry to hear about Excito bankruptcy :( I hope all the best for the Excito people. I am reporting in as a current user of Easyfind service and hope it will continue to operate in the future. I don't expect the most active people of this community to pay it from their own pockets to keep Excito serv...

Re: uboot update needed.
Nice to see that someone is still trying to fix this uboot problem and update Kernel. I hope it works out. Unfortunately I have no knowleadge or skills to help. As a mobile 4G user, I hear that more recent Kernels has built in support for Qualcom QMI driver. QMI is needed to switch 4G modem from ser...

Re: Use mobile internet 3g USB dongle as WAN
Thank you Gordon. I restored easyfind.tac and easyfind.pl files back to their original condition. Now I can turn on Easyfind from GUI and after pressing button ' Update Easyfind ' The GUI gives an Update succesful notification. The firewall.conf is setup like the creator of this thread Psykopatpasto...

Re: Use mobile internet 3g USB dongle as WAN
Hi I was thinking of trying to get Easyfind working with Bubba 3, which is working as a wireless 4G router at home. Things did not go as expected. Maybe someone with better understanding of the matter or a working setup can give me some guidance. I've been following the instructions in this thread a...

Re: Guest network routing, WLAN extension (e.g. WDS) etc
Hi If your aim is to disable guests access to your files in Bubba, you could also do it with Samba file server (Windows file share). Setting up password protection in Samba. This way your guests can knock on your file server as much they like but cannot access the files unless they have valid userna...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.6
Ḧi Thank you Excito team for finally launching the new backup. I have been waiting this for a long time. Just did the update and don't have yet experience how this new backup actually works. It would be nice though, if you could add a possibility to let user select a folder which is needed to backup...

Re: Restoring backup error
At the end I did get the needed file out from backup with the help from Excito support and by learning to use duplicity from command line. Here is what I did (just in case someone finds it useful). Note: I am not using encryption with the backup. First you might want to find out the correct path to ...

Re: Restoring backup error
It seems you are not using the gui but the command line. If so , and you are only restoring a single file, why not go to home/storage/extern/Hitachi/backup_folder/backup_folder/ and manually copy the file? Hi I am not using GUI because it does not work, when backup "grows" too big (file c...
