Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2&3 software version 2.5.
Apparently NFS v4 server support is still disabled in the B2 kernel. Can anyone from Excito confirm this?

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
Nevermind, I looked at the wrong kernel config.... (isn't there a way to edit posts?)

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
NFS v4 server support was only enabled for B3, and not for B2. What was the reason?

I meant "installable", rather than "uninstallable".

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4.1
bubba-backend is still uninstallable on b2, because it depends on bubba3-kernel: # aptitude install bubba-backend The following NEW packages will be installed: bubba3-kernel{ab} gdisk{a} logitechmediaserver{ab} The following packages will be upgraded: bubba-backend{b} 1 packages upgraded, 3 newly in...

Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
I assume it will be available in the repositories for existing 2.4 RC users, rather than by install image only?

EDIT: Also, tor refuses to start citing wrong permissions and owner on /var/run.

+1 on my part. I just installed it on my b2 and it works like a charm.

Re: Set CONFIG_NFSD_V4 in the kernel
Would this trickle down to post-2.4 b2 users, or b3 only?

Set CONFIG_NFSD_V4 in the kernel
Currently, even if the kernel (B2 with 2.4RC1 and I suppose B3, since I don't own one) supports NFS v4 mounts, it cannot serve them because the aforementioned option is not set.
Are there any drawbacks (fatter kernel, perhaps?) or could it be switched on? NFS v4 is much better than version 3.

Re: Running Debian lenny or squeeze on Bubba Two
As I plan to upgrade this weekend, what kind of bugs are those? Just considering if I need to put off the upgrade or live with them depending on their severity.

I noticed there's an E version along with the D version. What's the difference?

Re: Print Server for B2 does not work
The server hangs when you try to log in because it's trying to generate the certificates (HTTPS) but the Bubba 2's system is mostly idle, and thus it can't generate enough entropy. This is fixed by logging in via SSH and do something disk intensive like listing dirs and so on for a while. This will ...

Re: Release notes for BUBBA|2 1.3.0
How "safe" is the upgrade so far? I'm still on 1.2.x because I've been reading about issues and whatnot...
