We do not supply proftp in our repositories, but we do require it to be there for the bubba package to work. If you would like to reinstall it, you will need to enable the global debian repositories by removing the "#"-marks in the "/etc/apt/sources.list" file. After that do an &...

Are you refering to adding directories using the web-admin tool or how do you try to create the folders? You should be able to create folders in the storage directory.

Also, what OS are you running?

I am sorry I have not answered before. It seems as if there has been a user that has been deleted from the system (uid 1008) that owns the /var/samba/public directory. This should be owned by root. I don't know if this can case the problems that you see when you are trying to upgrade, but can you ch...

Can you do "ls -l /var/samba" and "ls -l /var/samba/public" and post the results?
This will help me figure out what the problem is.

If you do not want to publish it, send it to me directly.

It seems as you have made some changes to the /var/samba/public directory. If you look in your log from your update it says: chown: cannot access `var/samba/public/*': No such file or directory The configuration then seems to abort. Try to resolve this issue and run the configuration again to see if...

Unfortunately there is very little DMA support in the cpu, only from inbuilt periferals to memory (and the other way around). Anything else added will have to do without DMA support. As there is no IDE controller in the chip, software has to handle this and the disc is connected to the memory bus of...

Yes it is possible but not recommended.
The reason for this is that although Bubba has USB2.0 it is only fullspeed (12Mbit/s) not Hi-speed, meaning that it will be very slow.

Hi,

Is it possible for you to share which torrents you are using aswell? That will help us recreate the crashes on our own systems.
If not in the forum, maybe by a seperate mail to our support?

Hi, It is possible to connect a USB disk to bubba, but we do not recommend it for ordinary use, due to that the USB is 12Mbit/s (USB2.0 Full speed), so it would be very slow. It might however work as a backup solution where disc performace is not crucial. Regarding a USB hub, it is no problem, we us...

I would say that it would work fine, you would just have to set it up on both the units.

There is a way to get a console on Bubba, but it requires some work and a soldering iron.

Re: how much power does the USB port supply?

The USB can supply minimum 500mA and will shutdown automatically if the connected unit uses too much power. The shutdown current is typically 1A, so you should do fine with charging your Ipod. However I would not recommend having the Ipod connecting and charging with full charging current when booti...
