Re: Release notes for Excito Bubba 2 software version 2.4-RC
B2 Upgrade successful! I hit a bump with the firewall, which wasn't forwarding traffic from the internal network to the outside world. The above instructions didn't help, and in fact locked me out! What did help was iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE which got the local computers o...

Re: BUBBA|2 WiFi with WLAN problem
I've been having a similar problem recently. I started by changing channels, and replacing the antenna with 9dBi models, but neither seemed to help.
Is there an alternative to restarting the entire router? Restarting the wireless sub-system and/or associated kernel modules?

Re: B2 Software update - Excito's plans
Thank you for the update Johannes: I have a much better appreciation for your situation. For those of us that aren't afraid of the command line, what can we do to help you? I would be happy to help in many ways. Would you be open to hosting community development projects? For example, a "hobbis...

Re: Running Debian lenny or squeeze on Bubba Two
Is there anything we can do to help? Question for everyone: is anyone interested in creating an unofficial community supported distribution? Maybe this is a reasonable way to help, as the community version could be for early adopters. Another question for everyone: how do you setup a Qemu to test Bu...

Re: Running Debian lenny or squeeze on Bubba Two
Regarding an official release. This is our ambition for now. Unfortunately this is to early to say that we can make any promises. Hi tor, I noticed a few months have pasted since you posted this. Is there a projected release date on the horizon? kind regards, Geoff Ps. What's the easiest way to bui...

Re: wd tv live +
I just got a WDTV Live, and it appears to be working fine with my Bubba 2. I'm still working out some details (like playing ogg vorbis files).

vsftpd installable with bubba-backend
Hi guys, I have a hardware phone that needs an ftp server to provision itself, but it's picky about the software and doesn't work with proftpd*. I'd like to install vsftpd, except bubba-backend depends on proftpd, which conflicts with vsftpd. I would really appreciate some way to install vsftpd with...

Re: Swapper : page allocation failure
Yup, that seems to help. I'll watch it and see if it comes back. Why do you think it helped? (Was it set too low for this kind of system?)
Cheers,
Geoff

Re: Swapper : page allocation failure
I have a similar problem when copying large files from an external drive. Is there a fix? (Kernel stack traces worry me; speaking of which, I'm running 2.6.32.13 #1 from the excito apt repo.) And the kernel messages: Oct 5 23:31:32 swedishchef kernel: esent:260096kB mlocked:0kB dirty:24880kB writeba...
