Re: Multiple VLAN on the LAN port, how?

Hi, Did you tell the switch to untag the port that you dedicated to vlan 20 (access mode)? Yes And is the port that the B3 is connected to in fact configured to receive vlan headers (trunk mode)? Yes, but it is not called trunk mode on my HP1810-8G V2 switch. They call it participation/tagging. For ...

Re: Multiple VLAN on the LAN port, how?

Hi again,

Does the fact that eth1 is bridged with wlan0 into br0 make any difference for this?

Re: Multiple VLAN on the LAN port, how?

I think that is a known issue with dnsmasqs dhcp server, tagged as very low priority. I do assume that your vlas work as expected when manually assigning IP addresses? The only vlan related bug I could find is this one and it does not look related to my issue. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sou...

No, I tried setting the IP to 10.69.20.5 and then pinging 10.69.20.1 (from Mac to B3) and no response :-(

Multiple VLAN on the LAN port, how?

Hi all, I would like to have two separate netwokrs at home but my ISP only give me one public IP adress. My thinking on how to solve this was to add a VLAN on the B3 LAN port and have a switch divide the networks. I created the VLAN using by adding the following to /etc/network/interfaces auto eth1....

Re: Can't install openjdk-6-jdk on bubba2

Hi Jan, I would try the following sequence on your B2 change_distribution -sunc elvin apt-get update This will repoint your database and update the local "cache" You should then try the apt-get command. apt-get install openjdk-6-jdk If the apt-get update did not enable the jdk package you ...

Re: Can't install openjdk-6-jdk on bubba2

Hi,

On http://wiki.excito.org/wiki/index.php/C ... ces_easier you can see that on Bubba 2 you should use marielle instead of elvin.

Hope it helps

Sv: Add restart option to web admin interface

Hi,

My understanding is that due to a bug the B3 consumes as much power regardless if it is on or off.

Re: Bugs in IPSec HowTO (on wiki) and some questions

Hi,

My understanding is that you now can do a "apt-get source ..." to get the kernal source.

Use the command "change_distribution -sunc elvin" (Only for B3) and "apt-get update" if you do not have the source files in your apt-get configuration.
