Hi, I also have a Soundbridge. Very easy to set up - I use the wireless connection to my DI-624 router, the Bubba is hardwired to the network. I haven't had any problems what so ever with that part of it. The UI is quite nice and easy to use, large display with setable character size etc. I have aro...

Hi, Thanks for the file Johannes! That file didn't look at all like the playlistfiles generated by Winamp. I tried manually generating a file with the same format as yours and I also copied your file to bubba\music as well as a subfolder. (Obviously I didn't have the tracks you had). I then did a co...

Hello, I've played a bit more with this but still can't get the playlists to show up on the Soundbridge. I compared Johannes conf file to mine and except from the server name they looks to be the same. I've re-scanned, restarted, reset everything I can think of but the Sondbridge refuses to say anyt...

Aargh... I didn't have that line at all in my .conf file so I added it so that the file now looks exactly like yours. I saved the file and restarted the server but the playlists still don't show up. Not when placed directly in \music nor in subfolders. However I did get this message in the web-ui: O...

Thanks Johannes,
I will try it again tonight and get back to you. Just to make sure, did you put your .m3u files directly in \\bubba\storage\music.

Thank you for that detailed explanation, just what I needed. I couldn't make it work though..... :? I edited the config file and restarted the server. The webinterface still says No on process .m3u files but I've verified that the particular line is indeed uncommented and changed to 1. My playlists ...

Johannes,
That's good to hear! Now, how do I edit that file manually I can't seem to find/access the file logged in as admin or user so how/where do I find it?
(Remember: Linux newbie here...)

TIA
/Henrik.

Thanks Johannes! Just knowing how to reach FireFly's web-interface is a huge step forward. Isn't that something worth mentioning in the manual? I had to try a few times with various users/passwords but after a while I got in ;-) Once in there I looked around a bit and found a setting called: Process...

Soundbridge M1001 and FireFly

Hello, I got a Pinnacle Soundbridge M1001 a week or so ago and have been copying my music files to \\bubba\storage\music but have a few problems, well, two basicly. 1) I've noticed that new songs/albums copied to bubba takes a really long time to show up on the Soundbridge (if they ever do). Yesterd...

Hi,
Thanks to some off-list assistance from Tor the problem is now solved. Turns out I had the account set up correctly but missed to add an identity in Bubbas Web-mail application.

Thank you Tor and the rest of the crew!

Tor, Does your isp require authenticated SMTP? How do you configure SMTP in outlook? No it doesn't (as far as I know). In Outlook I simply add the names of the servers for incoming and outgoing email. Bubba as incoming (IMAP) and smtp.ipbo.se as outgoing (SMTP) in this case. I don't have the Logga i...

Getting there...

Thanks Tor! I had to change from Outlook Express to Outlook because Express didn't seem to be able to apply it's email-rules to messages stored on an IMAP server.... Anyway, I managed to set Bubba up as an IMAP server and Outlook connects to it just fine. I can send and recieve from Outlook and I ca...

How to setup email

Hi, I have a couple questions about setting up and using Bubbas E-mail functionallity, I've read the manual and searched the forum but I'm uncertain of how to set this up. Here's the scenario: I have an E-mail account at my ISP and I use Outlook Express on my main PC to retreive, read and store the ...
