Re: RAID Questions

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it just does not seem to work ??? If I reconnect external (eSATA) RAID disk after Bubba has booted up and running, Bubba does not recognise RAID array at all. It just wants to format or create array again. screenshot from Disk information subpage after Bubba is ru...

Re: RAID Questions

Hi I believe this is the picture from the requested moment. http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/5008/bubbaraid.th.gif or this ... http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/6555/bubbabackup.th.gif Now when you press button "Recover RAID array" Bubba says ... no RAID disks detected or something and that's it no...

Re: Cannot connect B2 thru the web nor samba, but I can ssh i

Sorry I don't know what is causing it. I have encountered the same phenomenum myself. I have a hunch that it has something to do with Bubba having a static IP address. If you set Bubba using DHCP to get an IP address to itself, I think then the http://bubba address works. I don't have a chance to te...

Re: Cannot connect B2 thru the web nor samba, but I can ssh i

Hi

Can you connect to Bubba, if you write Bubba's IP address on web browser instead of http://bubba.local ?

Re: RAID Questions

Sorry to hijack this thread once more. I have got a bit of problem with RAID recovery. I did a RAID1 mirroring with Bubba and external eSATA hard drive. Creation of RAID went fine and Bubba reported RAID "clean" and "sync". Then I transferred couple hundreds Megabytes of data to Bubba and let it set...

Re: B2 Crash after RAID installation

Here's a screen shot, what I got after having started resyncing RAID setup.
It takes hours as said by Carl in his earlier post and external eSATA (marked as "spare" in the picture) drive's activity led keeps blinking the whole time.

Re: RAID Questions

Is this correct ? Your Bubba is configured as RAID-1 (mirroring) system with external eSATA hard drive. [KABOOM!! ] Your internal disk brokes down --> Bubba is a dead duck. You need to do replace new internal hard drive first and then do complete crash recovery operation and rebuild your RAID array....

Re: Help with Bubba Two - Easyfind

Your welcome. I hope I didn't scare you off, but as I have understood the essence of Bubba. The web browser accessible graphic interface is just the tip of the ice berg for what you can do with Bubba. All the good stuff :) is hidden under the bonnet and to get access there, you really need to wrap u...

Re: Help with Bubba Two - Easyfind

Hi I'll try to give you a hand... as a Bubba newbie ... As I see it, Easyfind is nothing more than a way to resolve your Bubba's IP address, which can change from time to time. Easyfind works like http://www.dyndns.com/ or similar service. When you type Easyfind address with your Bubba's easyfind na...

Errors making backup to external USB-hard drive

Hi I've been trying to make backups of Bubba2's contents to an external USB-hard drive. The hard drive is (factory) formatted as NTFS and my attempts to save backups to USB-hard drive fail every time. Bubba reports backup operation failure with errors/warnings (messages below). Is there some prepara...

Regarding question 1, have you activited ntp?

If that means putting the cross in the box 'Set time automatically', then answer is yes. Otherwise no.
Bubba did set right time for minutes right away but hours = timezone was incorrect.

Iissues with timezone and printer naming with Bubba II

Hi I have been fiddling with Bubba 2 only a couple of days. So I am total newbie, only having used Ubuntu's less than a year. With the initial setup I encountered couple problems and would like to know, if I did things the wrong way or are they "features" of Bubba. As a background info; Bubba was de...
