Okay, but what does it report when you run it?

Re: Bubbagen and logitechmediaserver-bin (Solved)

The symlink not being created seems to have been in the installer package for quite some time. I have corrected this in the overlay.

Re: Bubbagen and logitechmediaserver-bin (Solved)

Hi Sakaki,

It's a bit different from the original: install_on_sda.sh (sources /root/install.ini if it exists)

But yes, it should always return something and not die silently

Re: Bubbagen and logitechmediaserver-bin (Solved)

That is strange :? The installer in /root is actually a shortcut to /usr/local/sbin/install_on_sda.sh. The installer is there, yet the shortcut is missing like you say. The difference between the two versions is the init system, or service manager if you like. `systemd` is the modern way to manage a...

Hmmm... Looks like I made a mistake in the Readme's links  The OpenRC version is here: https://github.com/gordonb3/bubbagen/releases/download/v1.11/bubbagenb3img-1.11.0.img.xz And the Systemd version here: https://github.com/gordonb3/bubbagen/releases/download/v1.11/bubbagenb3img-1.11.5.img.xz

Re: Bubbagen and logitechmediaserver-bin

Looks like the owner is set incorrectly on that folder. Unsure why these files are even stored there - it must have made sense at some point but for this type of use they should not be in /etc but in /var/lib. To fix your issue now ssh into the box (as root) and type the following on the command lin...

Notice to bubbagen users (print server)

Annoyingly it seems I have tripped over an old ghostscript bug once more in the new 1.11 release. As a result you may see the following error displayed by the cups daemon: INFO: Color Manager: no profiles specified in PPD The actual cause for this rather puzzling error message is that ghostscript go...

Re: Arch Linux Live-USB for B3 updated (archlinuxarm.org kernel, shorewall migration)

Yeah, Shorewall, strong as it is can definitely be overwhelming. First time I came into contact with it was with the LEAF project - a single floppy based OS and firewall. That is 1.44Mb in total, those were the days... I think it must have taken me over a year to fully comprehend what I was supposed...

Re: Bubbagen live-USB for B3 updated (Gentoo profile 17)

You're welcome.

Fun thing is that I thought it might be related to the uboot version. Never crossed my mind that you might have created a post-boot solution for it.

Re: Bubbagen live-USB for B3 updated (Gentoo profile 17)

First my own kernel. I then tried kernels from both your arch and gentoo images with the same result. I saw it happen on the serial console as the kernel was loading. Figured it was something in kexec masking part of the device tree, but then I found that if I ran kexec from a live system it did hav...

Re: Debian stretch (9) image 1.1 released for B3

How did you unzip the files and edit install.ini? Or to be more precise: what OS do you have running on the machine where you did that? If you are running Windows there is a big chance that your files may have been corrupted. To start: don't use explorer to extract the files - use `7-zip` (free) or ...

Bubbagen live-USB for B3 updated (Gentoo profile 17)

Hi, I've just released version 1.11 of the Bubbagen live-USB image for B3 on GitHub. Because the new Gentoo profile defaults to building position-independent executables and this may lead to incompatibilities with non-pie libraries this is a complete rebuild of the Live-USB. If you are already runni...

Re: Setting up a B3 miniserver

Hi Greg, I use a crossdev machine to run the major part of the compile jobs and once in a while there is a package that gets confused by the crossdev root not being / I did find that app-portage/eix is such a package and it hard codes the crossdev root inside its scripts, causing it to be unable to ...
