Re: B3 extremely slow, even after reinstall - hardware failu

Rather than reinstalling, can you try booting into the USB rescue environment and see if you get the same problem. If that's OK, then it could be your hard drive on the fritz.

Re: slow

Seems fine to me (in the UK).

EDIT: General browsing is OK but it's taking a while to post replies.

Re: does this bug affect us?

I've been playing with some of the tools for testing this vulnerability. So far, the only vulnerable site I've found is this one! $ ./heartbleeder forum.excito.net VULNERABLE - forum.excito.net:443 has the heartbeat extension enabled and is vulnerable to CVE-2014-0160 [EDIT]There's an online checker...

Re: B3 refuses to work even not formatting

Be careful with WD Red disks however! It seems that the latest units have the head parking re-enabled by default with an 8s timeout! Really? How can I check this in my unit (I recently install WD RED 4TB). It's a lengthy thread, but everything you need should be here:http://forum.excito.net/viewtop...

Re: Roundcube 0.8

There is no native calendar function. I haven't used a calendar plugin for a while but I remember there being a pretty good one that would sync with GMail etc.

Re: Roundcube 0.8

Roundcube-core is the main package I'd hazard. Never installed from the repos, it's easy enough to install from source and you get the added bonus of it being more up to date.

Re: B3 RAID status problem

Also, plenty of people bought B2/3s sans disk before the ibood offer (including me) and didn't have any problem installing onto a disk sourced from elsewhere.

Good idea. I would set it in crontab to run @reboot though.

Re: B2 problems data recovery options

I don't remember any problems reading the lvm on the rescue stick, but it might be worth trying a live cd. It's worth investing in a SATA to USB cable.

Re: IPTABLES being overwritten

Yeah, it's overwritten every time the DHCP client renews its lease. Is there a reason you don't add these rules with the web interface? If you do, it would mitigate this problem I think. Your problem is discussed here: http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4265. The solution I proposed (ad...

Re: Auto mounting / connecting USB disks

+1 for using udev, it's very flexible. Long time ago before online backups I had a udev rule that, when I plugged in my external hard drive, it automatically triggered a script that backed up my /home/storage to the drive and then dismounted it again.

Re: B3 refuses to work even not formatting

When I bought a B3 without disk it included a USB stick. I guess it's different for the ibood offer.
