Hi, A new version of bubbamon is available. Note that bubbamon now is packaged as a debian package, so installation instruction differ. If you have an old version (0.5 or older), please remove it first: Remove cronjob by typing: crontab -u www-data -r Then remove all scriptfiles. Installation (0.6 o...

A couple of months ago I managed to make a mess of it all after I forgot to restore 'sources.list'. And a week later I made the same mistake once again. I guess I'm one of those who never learn. I then wrote a couple of scripts that will make it easier to change repositories but also restore it auto...

Hi Ian, First of all, verify that you actually entered the cronjob as I wrote it (you can copy and paste that line to be sure, only replacing paths to match your install). Then verify you actually entered the right paths. Next, there are two things I know of that you can do. Log in as root and verif...

Instructions changed once again to be more general. Tor from excito was kind to inform me of a bug in my software due to changes in latest version. When I started to investigate this, I couldn't see the problem. Then I realized I wasn't running the latest and greatest of the bubba firmware. Upgradin...

Hi Ian, You probably need to enable it to run as a daemon. I'm not used to Debian, but i think you need to reconfigure it. There's probably a manual way, but I think it is easiest to just type: dpkg-reconfigure hddtemp Be sure to select to run it as a daemon and also note what port you use, and make...

New version
Shame on me. Turns out there was a difference in the info field that I didn't notice when testing my code against the new bubba firmware (51.1). HTML tags appeared where the download speed was supposed to show. Don't know how I could miss it, but I did. I guess this cold I'm having must be affecting...

Hi all, I'll start writing a howto. Also, I noticed there is a new release of the bubba firmware. This may affect my script and I see no point in releasing anything that will not work with this new release. Anyhow... I'll keep you posted. Now I'm off to upgrade my bubba, keeping my fingers crossed i...

Hello again, Thank you for your input. I finally decided to go with the SoundBridge and I got it last week. I'm so far more than happy with it and was even more happy to see one can control the display. This made me think it would be nice to display some information from bubba, like disk usage, upti...

Need recomendation on media player
Hi, Maybe this is OT, no forum seems right, but I would like some input on what media player (music only) to buy. I've been looking at SoundBridge and Squeezebox. Both seems like nice players, Squeezebox being far more expensive. Is it worth the extra money, is the server software working ok on bubb...

Does blinking the LED at a high frequency affect CPU load?
Hi, My computer and bubba is placed in my bed room and the LED on the bubba is too bright for me when going to sleep (I'm one of those who prefer it pitch-black). When trying to figure out how to control the LED, I found a couple of scripts, all using the same 'gpioapp'. Blinking the LED at a very h...

[SOLVED] Weird behaviour after upgrade to 0.50.1-1
It seems like my problem is gone.
I found two torrents in the torrent folder that wasn't visible from download page. Removing them, then restarting ftd solved the problem.
