Re: Gentoo live-USB for Bubba|2 updated (Linux 4.9.16 LTS)

Migration of gentoo-on-b2 systems to Profile 17.0 I have just completed migrating the gentoo-on-b2 weekly autobuild host to profile 17.0. As recommended , all packages have been rebuilt under the new profile, and, to avoid confusion, a new binhost has been created to house these, at https://isshoni...

Re: Gentoo Profile Change from 13 to 17

Hi Andy, apologies for the late reply. I've just completed migrating my gentoo-on-rpi3-64bit image to profile 17.0 , but the 32-bit PPC version for the B2 is still on 13.0. I'll aim to move it over soon; when I do, as with the RPi3 image, I'll setup a new binhost (so the pie/non-pie packages don't g...

B2 genup users - please mask poppler-0.57.0 pro tem

Hello, if you are using my isshoni.org binhost to supply binary packages for your Bubba|2 box (running gentoo-on-b2 ), please add the following mask: b2 ~ # echo "=app-text/poppler-0.57.0" >> /etc/portage/package.mask/poppler (see Gentoo bug 626800 and this forum post for an explanation of...

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Updated gcc has been pushed.
I've also changed the binhost autobuild to --newuse, so this sort of issue shouldn't occur again in the future.

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Today I was trying to update the system but I noticed that the gcc-5.4.0-r3 compiler was a [ebuild] package instead of [binary]. Is there a way to get this (huge) package as precompiled? !!! The following binary packages have been ignored due to non matching USE: =sys-devel/gcc-5.4.0-r3 -pgo =www-s...

Re: Arch B3 gets 2 IPs via DHCP on the interface?

systemd-networkd has its own DHCP client implementation, yes. Provided it is enabled for eth0 (which would appear to be the case given your config files and the dual-address issue), you should be safe to turn off dhcpcd. The "systemctl disable dhcpcd" command will probably work (or you can...

Re: Arch B3 gets 2 IPs via DHCP on the interface?

Hi stasheck,

what config files do you have in /etc/systemd/network/? If you are content to use systemd-networkd on its own, disabling dhcpcd, that's probably the easiest way going forward...

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Everything seems to emerge OK so I've added your packages to the weekly autobuild list, and the initial binaries have been pushed to the isshoni.org binhost. To use, first issue: b3 # emaint sync --repo gentoo-b3 to pull in the necessary profile changes. Then you should be able to emerge nginx etc. ...

Re: I ordered a B3, but order status remains 'unfulfilled'

If you or anyone has any suggestions for other low-power boards that run Linux and have 2 LAN ports then please let me know so I can dump the B3. Something like the Utilite perhaps? http://www.compulab.co.il/utilite-computer/web/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Utilitie-intro.png This is a Cortex-A9 base...

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Hello again sakaki, It would be great if you could add some (lightweight ) additional packages to your local repositories so I could get them as precompiled packages on my b3 O:) OK, I'll test compile these over the next couple of days. If there are no blockers I'll add to the autobuild list a...

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Hi, glad to hear it works now ^-^ The 5GHz issue is a regulatory one, due to the shipped firmware config of the B3's wifi hardware - can be worked around by patching (but not everywhere legal to distribute in binary form when patched in this way). Travelling atm but if you search for "5GHz"...

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Yes, on the image shorewall sets up the iptables rules for forwarding / masquerading between br0 and eth0, and also takes care of e.g. setting /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward to 1 on boot etc. Try booting with shorewall active first, to see if you can wget then. This should work - I've just uploaded a...

Re: Gentoo Live-USB for B3 Updated (with Weekly-Autobuild Binhost Backing, including Kernel)

Hi, There is a problem I think.. dnsmasq should be picking up the file /etc/dnsmasq.d/b3.conf, but the version on the image seems to require conf-dir=/etc/dnsmasq.d,*.conf at the end of /etc/dnsmasq.conf to do that. I'll fix this and re-release. Not sure how that slipped through (the build I use loc...
