WiFi channels - why only 11 of them?
Hi, I have noticed (with 2.3 update) that the number of WiFi channels got reduced from 13 (or 14 I am not sure) to 11 now. I just updated to 2.4.2, hoping to have this resolved, but no such joy. I am suspecting now, since noone reported any similar problem, that this has something to do with my conf...

I did not made a reset but I did turn off and then on again the DAAP in Services menu. This did the trick.

Re: B3 update kills fireplay
It actually worked for me with 2.3.2... but now, since I upgraded to 2.4 it doesn't anymore.

Re: DLNA on Excito Bubba 2 ver. 2.4-RC1
C'mon, this article is from 2008. When I check new Sony TV specifications for instance I see other formats as well (including H.264). And as far as I have seen Sony is usually has the fewest formats in their DLNA list (other brands like Samsung offer some more). The things are better today than they...

Re: Extremely slow file transfer after 2.3 update?
I made a new installation of Win7 system on a computer that previously had Vista. Now I get WiFi transfer speeds of about 8 MBytes/s from 1 meter away... this sounds more reasonable. So there trurly are some OS/WiFi card and B3 WiFi issues.

Re: FTP port (21) not accessible
Yes, there was a line missing in the /etc/hosts. I added the B3.localdomain like it said in the other post (http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3328&p=16799&hilit=proftp#p16799), now it works just fine. It's funny though, I remember going through those posts when I tried to solve...

Re: FTP port (21) not accessible
I changed the "UseIPv6" to off but still get the same message Starting ftp server: proftpd - warning: unable to determine IP address of 'B3' - error: no valid servers configured - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf' failed! And I don't think IPv6 should b...

Re: FTP port (21) not accessible
Tried this, and got the following result... Starting ftp server: proftpd - warning: unable to determine IP address of 'B3' - error: no valid servers configured - Fatal: error processing configuration file '/etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf' failed! As I said... under services FTP is turned on and Firewall i...

I don't know how to interpret this so I will be most grateful for a crash course explanation...

FTP port (21) not accessible [SOLVED]
Hello all, I have a problem with port 21 (FTP). I just can't get it open. In the Firewall settings it shows as "on", but when I run a port scanner it states it is closed. Then I switch it off and try again... closed again. I turn it on again and try again... still closed. I called my ISP i...

Re: No access to new Excito B3
Did you connect it to LAN or WAN port? In your case, since you have routing done by Netgear it should in in LAN only and B3 should automatically go to Server mode. You may also try to connect directly from PC to B3 (LAN), as Binkem suggested. If your PC is set to get IP automatically, then your B3 w...

Re: Transfer speed
I have Intel WiFi 5300 AGN... so n300 client, but I usually get 2 - 3 MBytes/sec. The funny thing is, my other laptop has an Intel 5100 client and gets faster transfer rates (on occasion it happened to get as high as 5MBytes/sec, if the computer was in the same room as B3 of course). Can we expect a...

Re: Transfer speed
OK, so no way to handle HD content over WiFi... then having only 1 LAN port really is limiting... I was expecting to handle some of the streaming and file transfers over Wifi but I guess I will have to find some other solution. What I also experience is that sometimes WiFi is not responsive as it sh...

Re: Transfer speed
Thank you for the reply... I did search the forum through and through and I also found your issue with Win7 and B3... however I have the Intel WiFi card and I was actually more interested in expected transfer speeds. I saw johannes published tests of transfer speeds for wired connection, but I found...
