Did you try this step? I solved the problem by adding the tun0 interface to my "interfaces" line in the smb.conf and as I remember ( have no access to my bubba at the moment ) the line below this "interfaces" had to be commented out to allow samba to broadcast on the tun0 interfa...

You should be able to reach bubba using a static ip-adress on the same subnet as Bubba uses (eg. 192.168.10.99 if bubba is 192.168.10.1)

This means that the machine did not get an Ip adress from bubba. In that case it automaticcally resets to an 196.254.xyz.xyz adress. You may try to manually set the ip-adress to an 192.168.10.xyz and then try to ping 192.168.10.1 If that doesn't work my guess is that Bubba isn't functioning. You mig...

Does the Bubba start as is described in het manual? The blue front light will blink for a few seconds while starting, and then stay constantly lit. If it behaves differently there may be something wrong with the Bubba or its Hard disk. Next you should check if the pc has been given an ip-adress bij ...

In pim go to
options > global options > personal information

there you may edit your from-adress

(Hope this helps. I had the same problem but i'm not 100% sure this was the solution. It was in the options somewhere though).

the line below this "interfaces" had to be commented out to allow samba to broadcast on the tun0 interface, because it is a temporary interface.
That was it. I had added the tun) interface, but i had no idea about uncommenting the next line.

Cheers

Maybe you've changed the password for MySQL? In that case you could try this: Hello again, Have you changed the root mysql password in the past? If so, please open /var/cache/debconf/passwords.dat and for Name: bubba-horde/mysql/admin-pass change the Value to your password. If not, then make sure th...

Editing samba.conf as outlined in: http://openvpn.net/index.php/documentation/howto.html But if i do this SMB is no longer accessible from my home network and it is also unaccessible f...

There may be a difference between power consumption at the plug and the power consumption of the device due to the fact that there is a transformer in between. I'm not sure where Bubba's (or the airport's)power consumption was measured.

I want to eliminate another power-consuming device that is active 24/7 (the wireless router) so that only the bubba will be active all the time.

My problem has been solved thanks to Carl of the Excito-crew. It turns out that I there had both been a partial, failed download, which wasn't recovered and I had changed the MySQL password. Clearing out the failed download was done by: apt-get clean rm -f /var/lib/apt/lists/update.excito.org_dists_...

I did the same. I've got my router behind my Bubba and will get the WLAN option when it appears.
