Re: Software Update and Download
The install image is available here: http://install.mybubba.org/b3/image-2.4.1.1/ ..you can update from 2.4.1.1 to 2.6.0.2 (latest) from the web interface, however, there seem to be some temporary issue with that update, I think they are working on that. You can however also update manually, this wi...

Re: Excito B3 brand and remaining B3 stock purchased !
Hi Leo, Noone is trying to rip you of your money, this is probably an unfortunate mistake. The excitostore.com store is supposed to be closed down as far as I know, could be a mistake that it's up (looks closed down to me though). In any case, the entire Excito business is in the process of being ov...

Re: How to install smartmontools?
You also need to add debian sources to get access to other than standard bubba packages. Do:
..and try again. (The -u for upstream makes all the difference).
Code: Select all
change_distribution -u elvin
apt-get update

Did you try to re-install the bubba packages afterwards, or is this impossible?

But, don't forget to edit the config file accordingly, by default it formats your drive.

hardware giveaways!
Hi guys, after going through stuff in my garage after the bankruptcy, I found som stuff I don't have use for - I thought it might be useful to any of you community contributors instead! Here it goes, in order of appearance in the picture: 1. B3 serial port connector - using the card-edge connector o...

Re: New installation does not work
@Gordon, we usually do 'apt-get dist-upgrade', don't know if that made any difference?Gordon wrote:You still need to run the updates. Either click upgrade in the web management interface or (as root) run `apt-get upgrade`

Re: New installation does not work
not sure if this helps, but did you really re-install the machine, or just managed to boot it? It sounds like your root password is changed to something non-standard. Could this have happened on your old installation, for some reason? (Also, direct ssh using admin or root is not allowed, by design. ...

Re: Hardware Cryptography for BUBBA3 Kirkwood?
I have a faint memory of that the hw acceleration did not support the default encryption scheme used by openssl, I think you need to define a custom encryption type.. Could that be it?

Re: Q: Update B2 with LVM over 3 HDDs?
Updating past B2 version 2 requires a fresh install, which means it wipes everything. The way to go is to remove the disks, freshly install the B2 system, then update to the latest release (2.6.something) and then attach the two disks and expand the LVM to those disks. Just a friendly warning, these...

Re: New installation does not work
Good work, and interesting result! I am not the best of interpreting this, but my _guess_ from reading this is that the installer for some reason does not manage to remove your old LVM (which is kind of special since you had it LVM:ed over two disks before) and therefor fails to do a fresh install. ...

Re: New installation does not work
note that you need to connect using the WAN port, and that the IP not neccessarily is the same as what you had before. So connect the WAN port, and check your router for what IP it has.

Re: New installation does not work
If you can log in during the green period and break the instaaler before it goes green, then why not change the installer to only set up the ssh nvironment and the ability for end user to run the rest manually. That should solve so many install problems. This is almost what we did, for users who wa...
