Hi guys,

You're right, it may not be installed by default.

killall is part of the package psmisc.

I guess I got it by installing mysql-server.

The killall command should be in /usr/bin, therefore you can call it from anywhere.

Hi Ubi, You're right. The download manager, ftd, is loading the torrents to be downloaded in memory. Therefore, your downloads are "lost" when you reboot your bubba. You can resume the downloads by submitting the same torrents again. I tried to work around this and came with a new function...

Hi ulf123, Php has a memory size limit for each script defined in the php.ini file. You could edit this file (/etc/php4/apache2/php.ini) and modify "memory_limit = 8M" to a greater value. You'll then need to restart Apache (apache2ctl restart) as root. If you alone are using the bubba, I g...

The problem is that you have mediatomb installed. Since mediatomb is now part of the bubba package , but in another version, you have a dependency conflict. You can try to remove mediatomb, knowing that it will be restore by bubba: apt-get remove mediatomb Then: * Remove the non-longer needed packet...

I guess you have a "dependency conflict". That mean that you'll probably have to remove something to be able to update the bubba package. You can have a good hint of what's the cause by typing: apt-get -o Debug::pkgProblemResolver=yes dist-upgrade Look for 'broken dep' is the output. When ...

Hi Plinth,

You should start by updating the packages list:

Code: Select all

apt-get update
Then, if no error occurs, you could try:

Code: Select all

apt-get dist-upgrade

Hi jrohde,

Since release 0.31.1, bubba implements bandwidth limitation on torrent downloads.

In order to access this setting, you need to connect to the web interface as admin, click 'settings' and select the tab 'Bittorrent'.

Hi tomdesinto,

You're damn right. Apparently though it's harmless. No javascript is used on this page, and even adding a 'spacer' doesn't change the design a bit.

Nothing to worry about, but it would be good to correct this for the next release.

You could try my tiny little hack. It shows differents colors according to the download's state.

It also can add or restore torrents from a folder. Quite handy after a crash... Read this post for explanations and installation procedure.
