if i'm not wrong it is a wrapper that call "apt-get upgrade". if you only have excito's repository, it will update against them. If you have debian's, it will update again debian. The problem is, many packages require user input that cannot be given in a web application, and so the process...

It could depend on how your router/modem behave when you access your public ip *from inside your network*. For example, i can't do that. I access my bubba daily from work using my public ip, but from home i can only access it with its local ip (192.168.x.x) I think it have something to do with loopb...

and what about flash disks? that would make bubba completely silent.. i don't know the state of art of flash chips, but i think they should be raising in quality and lowering in price.. For example zonbu comes with no HD and 4 GB flash memory. I don't know its performances, but it is said to play ba...

ssh login without typing password

Hi! i log in very often on bubba, and i'd like not to type the password each time.
i tried to arrange ssh in that way, but i filed.

i copied my pc's /home/msx/.ssh/id_rsa.pub on bubba as /home/msx/.ssh/authorized_keys as i found on some howto..

what's wrong?

uhm you can keep mldonkey run for weeks without problems, it doesn't freeze, to my best knowledge.

i have it always running, you can check it here: http://msx.homelinux.org:8080
(of course you can't get into the interface :P)

i've installed it and use it daily. iirc, i installed it directly from the sources avaiable at webmin web site. anyway, webmin is made with perl or some other scripting language and is architecture independent (and in fact it is a little slow :P ) remember that if you want to publish it on default h...

i've tried it too. it didn't worked: it gives an error when executed, resolving library. Looks like some wrong version of gcc or some other stuff.
I'll paste the correct error here this evening.

hi, interesting page. But i can't see ARM mentioned here. Where did you see it?
Anyway for the rest it looks fitting. It talks about devices with 32 MB of ram..
Download should be free, deployment is not.

I think it shouldn't be installed it by default, becouse very few people have the need for a jabber server, and it will be a waste of resources for many.
Also, it should be easy to install it manually with apt.

I'll try it asap (and report here of course) :)
