Re: Bubba backup ... not working ??

I send an email inquiry about this problem to excito .... less than year ago :) The Excito team replied that the problem is with GUI. GUI is not capable of handling large amount of files. I got an impression that the backup itself is working but you just cannot check or restore backups using GUI. Th...

3G modem dialing problem (B3 missing wvdial) (solved)

Hi Been an B3 owner for a while, I was planning to dump my old 3G wireless router box and use B3 as 3G modem instead. There is this excellent guide "Use mobile internet 3G USB dongle as WAN" in the Bubba Wiki. I was following the guide by the letter until I was instructed to type wvdial in...

Managing printers and print queues.

Hi The web interface in Bubba II for managing printers and printing queue is quite primitive. Just add/remove and start/stop ... CUPS in the other hand gives a user much more control for managing printers and print queues. Would it be possible to add link to CUPS web interface in Bubba's web interfa...

Re: New "usable" bubba home printer..

Samsung does have nice printer management interface, which works through web browser, which is nice if you have Linux machines. At least CLP-350 has this browser interface. Although in order to get status messages from printer ( paper jam, main motor jam :) ) you need to install printer application ...

Re: B1/2 -> B3 upgrade discount

Hi Is this discount offer valid for customers who have not bought their bubba directly from Excito Sweden but from your resellers? As a prove of ownership of Bubba II, I believe there is enough complaint messages in this forum to at least prove that I have been exposed to Bubba II for a long period ...

Re: Bubba|2 WiFi (new) "no valid WAN connection"

Have you tested/used the B2's WAN port with NG ? B2 [WAN] <---> NG [LAN] If you set Bubba's Network profile to "Router + Firewall + Server" , set WAN to DHCP and connect Bubba's WAN port to router LAN port what happens? Does Bubba get an IP address from router and can you get to Internet t...

If this is your initial (first) backup run, it can take very very long, depending the amount of files you are going to backup. Initial backup of ~20GB of files took about 11 hours for me. ...but there is a issue with backup restore. http://forum.excito.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2253 I Have been in...

Re: Network failure

Hi Since I don't know how experienced you are with Bubba and networking, I might be telling things that you know already. I have encountered similar connection problems after reinstalling Bubba's software. There has not been anything wrong with Bubba. It has just been my PC's fixed IP settings that ...

Re: Bubba backup ... not working ??

That's okay. Thank you for the help.

I have formatted external hard drive with Bubba's format command. I believe the disk is in ext3 file format.
There should not be such restrictions about file size with Ext3, should there ?

Re: Bubba backup ... not working with files > 2Gb !!

No help found for the problem from forum postings. I've been making few test with backup. Seems that small updates work and when amount of backup data grows in some point backup fails. Even if the backup fails there is no apparent error given. Only when you try to restore files there is nothing to r...
